Expanded Description and Range Extension of Lycodon truongi Nguyen, Duong, Wood et Grismer, 2022 (Serpentes: Colubridae)

Abstract


The Truong’s Wolf Snake Lycodon truongi is known based on a single specimen from Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. In this study, we report a range extension of this species from Nui Ong Nature Reserve in Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam, and provide an additional description based on two newly collected specimens, with new data on the hemipenis. Genetically, the new population differs from that in the type locality by an uncorrected p-distance in cyt b sequences of 0.0 – 0.4%.
