Abstract

Two colubrid snake species, Lycodon zoosvictoriae Neang, Hartmann, Hun, Souter et Furey, 2014 and Xenelaphis ellipsifer Boulenger, 1900, are reported here for the first time from Thailand. These records are based on specimens collected during herpetological surveys conducted in Chanthaburi and Yala provinces, respectively, in 2024. These new findings expand the known geographical distributions of both species and contribute to the growing knowledge of Thailand’s herpetofauna. With these additions, the total number of snake species (Serpentes) recorded in Thailand now stands at 256, of which 86 species are members of the family Colubridae.
