Abstract

Facultative paedomorphism is generally observed in newts of the Lissotriton vulgaris group. We document two new records of paedomorphism in L. v. schmidtleri from localities near Evciler and Bayramiç, in the vicinity of Çanakkale, Turkey. We compare measurements of four paedomorphic individuals from two localities with measurements taken from the literature.
