On Additional Specimens of Eirenis (Pediophis) coronelloides (Serpentes: Colubridae) Collected from Southeastern Anatolia, Turkey, with a Discussion of Its Status

Abstract


In this study, twelve new specimens of Eirenis (Pediophis) coronelloides collected from Southeastern Anatolia, Turkey, are described. This study represents the first record of this species from Gaziantep, on the west banks of Euphrates. The meristic and metric characters and the color-pattern features of our specimens are given in detail and compared with the specimens from other localities with regard to literature.
