Validity, Generic Redesignation, and Taxonomy of Western Rock Gecko Gymnodactylus ingoldbyi Procter, 1923

Abstract


Gymnodactylus ingoldbyi Procter, 1922, has long been synonymized with Cyrtopodion scaber and C. watsoni. However, study of the new material from Sulaiman Hilly tracts, along western border of Punjab, Pakistan has proved the validity of Gymnodactylus ingoldbyi and establish it as a northern race of Cyrtopodion kachhensis.
